Note: She leaves seven daughters, two sons, and a husband to grieve over
their loss, which to her is eternal gain. She was the first one of
her family called to a better land. She had the happy privilege of
knowing that all her children were members of the Church. Thus it is
a happy home has been made sad here and loved ones in heaven to
rejoice at her coming. Sister Butler was kind to everybody. When
talking to her pastor she always spoke words of hope for the better.
It was indeed a treat to her pastor to be thus comforted. The poor
had a warm place in her heart. She was the ideal of her home. Loved
ones do not weep as those with no hope. Her health has not been such
for years that she could take any active part along lines of duty in
the home, Church, or neighborhood. The funeral services were
conducted by the writer, William M. Neelley, Ex-Pastor, at her home to
a large assemblage of friends, following to the cemetery where the
services were concluded. The family, the Church, and the community at
large will miss Sister Butler. But in heaven angels do rejoice.
(The editor was accorded the hospitalities of the commodious home of
Sister Butler while attending a meeting of presbytery in that
community some months ago, and we regret her untimely death. We
extend our most sincere sympathy to her bereft family.)
