Dale Davis
Dale Davis, age 80, resident of Dripping Springs area since 1980, and former resident of Austin, died Sunday, January 26, 1992. Mr. Davis was a deacon of Dripping Springs First Baptist Church and a former member of Allandale Baptist Church in Austin. He was a general contractor for 25 years in Corpus Christi before moving to Austin in 1966. He was a masonry contractor in Austin until 1978 when he retired to the Hill Country near Dripping Springs. Survivors include his wife, Diana Moore Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Bette and Knox Williams, all of Austin; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Roy Dale and Cheryl Davis, Jr. of San Clemente, California; two granddaughters, Robin Davis and Tara Boyle and husband John, both of Bedford; brother, Dean Davis, and brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Lillian Davis, all of Elgin; sister and brother-in-law, Stella and George Brown of Waco; sisters-in-law, Selma Davis, Jewel Davis and Nell Davis, all of Elgin, and Margaret Hankamer of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 1992, at Dripping Springs First Baptist Church with Reverend David McNary and Reverend Curtis Ray officiating. Interment in Phillips Cemetery. Those desiring to do so make memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church Dripping Springs or Hill Country Senior Citizens Center.
