Note: ROBERT LEE DRAGO, JR., 80, died Thursday, September 28, 2006 His parents, Robert Lee Drago and Myrtle Kehrer Drago, his son, Robert Lee Drago Ill, and his brother, Edward Kehrer Drago, predeceased him. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lil Drago, daughter Kathy Drago and husband Jerry Young, and by three grandchildren he completely adored, Ben Drago, Mary Strebeck, and Lily Young. He was raised in the Houston Heights and attended Travis Elementary, Hogg Junior High, and Reagan High School, and later graduated from Texas A&M University in 1949. During college, he was a catcher for the Aggie baseball team and played the drums in the Maroon Band. Bob loved A&M's deep rooted traditions and some of his best times were picnicking under the trees next to Kyle Field with his wife Lil and all their lifelong friends. His family and friends are thankful that he is breathing easier now, but our hearts and minds will miss his wit and his sense of fun. The family is deeply grateful for the care and patience given to him by his physicians, Dr. George Keith and Dr. Mark Yeoman and for a very special nurse named Angie at Spring Branch Medical Center. Visitation will be at Waltrip Funeral Home, 1415 Campbell Rd from 5 to 7 PM Sunday, October 1st. Services will be held at 11 o'clock Monday, October 2nd at Heights Presbyterian Church. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Heights Presbyterian Church, 240 W. 18th St., Houston, TX, 77008, the Texas Aggie Band Association, 3606 E 29th, Bryan, TX 77802, or the charity of your choice.
