Gilbert Koenig, who took sick sudenly Turesday morning, was taken to the La Grange Hospital and immediately operated for appendicitus. Friends will be glad to learn that the report from the sick room is very favorable, and we hope the patient will have a speedy recovery.

Note: Mrs. Willrich Dies, Buried Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Werner G. Willrich, 51, were held at 8:45 Tuesday morning at the Koenig Funeral Home with continued services at Sacred Heart Catholic church. Msgr. S. A. Zientek and Rev. Harry Mazurkiewicz officiated. Burial was in the La Grange City cemetery. Mrs. Willrich passed away Saturday afternoon at the Fayette Memorial hospital. She was the former Antonia Korenek daughter of J. and Anna Siller Korenek of Plum and was born on Nov. 7, 1913 she was married to Mr. Wilrich [Willrich] on Jan. 16, 1939. For the past 30 years she had been employed as saleslady at the New York store. Surviving is her husband and parents, one son Werner Lee Willrich of La Grange; one sister, Mrs. Albina Zajicek of Plum; and one brother, Arnold Koenek [Korenek] of Plum. Note: Mrs. Frances Siller
Mrs. Frances Siller died at the Fayette Memorial Hospital Dec. 18 at the age of 78. Last rites were held from the Koenig Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 9 a.m. and continued at the Plum Catholic Church. Burial was in the Plum Catholic Cemetery. Rev. James Ballemanns of Plum officiated. Mrs. Siller, the former Frances Korenek, daughter of Joseph and Marie Slovacek Korenek, was born near Fayetteville on March 5, 1884. She married Jos. Siller on Oct. 22, 1902 in Plum. He preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1961. A Catholic by faith, the lifetime Fayette county resident was a homemaker. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Martha) Freudenberg and Mrs. Annie Svoboda of La Grange; three sons, Joe, Ernest and Frank Siller of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Najvar of Prague, Okla., Mrs. Julia Rehak of Smithville, and Mrs. Tonie Blaha of Ganado; one brother, J. Note: JOSEPH B. KORENEK
Joseph B. Korenek, 79, lifelong resident of the county, passed away on New Year�s Day at Fayette Memorial hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Koenig Funeral Home Chapel with continued services in the Plum Catholic church. The Rev. James Ballemans officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Korenek, a retired farmer, was born in Fayetteville on Sept. 1, 1885, the son of Joseph F. and Mary Slovacek Korenek. He was married in Plum on Nov. 7, 1905 to Anna Siller, and the couple have made their home in that community since. In addition to his wife., survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Louis Zajicek of Plum; one son, Arnold Korenek of Plum; three sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Rehak of Kirtley, Mrs. Sophie Najvar of Prague, Okla., and Mrs. Antonia Blaha of Ganado; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Antonia Wilirich, passed away six weeks ago. Rosary was recited by the KJT lodge Saturday evening and a parish rosary was recited Sunday.
