Member Saint John�s Methodist Church. Survivors: Daughter, Mrs. Louise Todd McKenna, Houston; sons, R. G. Allen Jr. Houston, Harry P. Allen, San Antonio; granddaughter, Mrs. George L. Huebner Jr. College Station; grandson, Alvin Allen, Bogata, South America; sisters, Mrs. William Dansby, Butler, Ala. Mrs. Harry Pope, Jackson, Miss., Mrs. Carol Wilson, Mrs. W. T. Kimbrough, both of Thomasville, Ala., brother, Dr. Leslie Moseley, Uniontown, Ala.; four great-grandchildren. Services 10 AM Thursday, Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, McGowan Ave Chapel, Rev William B. Note: MRS. LOUISE OEDING, 82 PASSED AWAY SATURDAY
Mrs. Louise Oeding, aged 82 years, six months and eighteen days, passed away at her home in La Grange, Saturday night following a short illness. Mrs. Oeding, who was a lifelong resident of Fayette County, lived almost all her life in the Freyburg area. She was before her marriage, Miss Louise Mueller, of Bethany, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mueller. She was united in marriage to Julius Oeding and they lived in the Freyburg area where they were active in the religious and civic affairs of that community. She was a member of the Lutheran Church at Black Jack. Mr. Oeding preceded her in death in 1927, and in 1934 Mrs. Oeding moved to La Grange and made that place her home until the time of her passing. Her husband and four children preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Millie Herzik of La Grange, Miss Elise Oeding, who made her home with her mother in La Grange, and Mrs. Herman (Ida) Grasshoff and Mrs. Louis (Marie) Steinmann of Schulenburg; five sons, John and Ed Oeding of Houston, Louis and Elmer Oeding of La Grange, and Walter Oeding of Freyburg; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Gebert and Mrs Louis Gebert of near La Grange, Mrs. Bertha Gebert of Flatonia, and Mrs. Frances Moebus of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Surviving also are fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 P.M., from the Koenig Funeral Home in La Grange with interment in the Black Jack cemetery. Rev. Erhard Eilers, pastor of the Lutheran Church at Black Jack and Swiss Alp, officiated. Pall Bearers were Earl Grasshoff, Floyd Steinmann, Bruce Byles, Archie Oeding, John Koenig, Lloyd Dippel, and Elmo Lampe. To those who mourn the passing of this pioneer Christian mother we extend our sincere sympathy. Contributed by Jon Todd Koening [Schulenburg Sticker, January, 1941]
