Geraldine �Gerry� Orr Huebner, 60, of Bay City died on Sept. 15, 1997 at Matagorda General Hospital. She was born Oct. 29, 1936 in Sweeny, Texas to the late William Alfred Orr, Sr. and Devorah Adeline Redding Orr. Mrs. Huebner was a member of the Calvary baptist Church, The Faith Sunday School Class and served as the Church Organist for 25 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2438 and the Bay City Book Review Club. She is survived by her husband D. J. Huebner of bay City; Daughters and son-in-law; Audrey and Mike Garrett, Karen �KK� and Ronnie Cox; sons and daughters-in-law; Dudley Huebner and Karen Shufflebarger, Russell and Theresa Huebner all of Bay City, four sister: Dolores Brauer and Deanna Cundall of Shoshoni, Wyo., Noma Laughlin of Bay City, Margaret Orr of Riverton, Wyo., five brothers: W. A. Orr of Sweeny, Billy Bryan Orr of Austin, Rodney Orr of El Campo, Noel Jay Orr of Sweeny, David Orr of Bay City, 11 grandchildren: Sarah and Stephanie Huebner, Matthew and Kelly Huebner, Amy, David and Kasey Mitchell, Brittany, Heather, Tyler Marie Cox and Erica Shufflebarger, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Edgar Ray Orr, Dan Cleveland Orr and Neil Gay Orr. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1997 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Interment was at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers were William A. Orr, Jr., Noel Jay Orr, David Orr, Rodney Orr, Billy Bryan Orr and Hollis Frazier. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Edward F. Pesek, Darryl Orr, Marcus Frazier, Lyndell Gillespie, Matthew Huebner and David Mitchell. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church building Fund or American Heart Association. Arrangements were through Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. He was a Lutheran by faith. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Otto of Manvel; daughters, Regina Lawrence and husband Mark of Phoenix, Ariz.; Kari Emblem and husband Erik of Waco; and Mindy Otto of The Woodlands; sons, Jeffry Otto and wife Laura of Rosharon, Kevin Otto of Nederland, and Casey Otto of College Station; sister, Darlis Adams and husband Dale of Crosby; brother, Darryl Otto and wife Judy of Houston; 10 grandchildren. Funeral services for Gilbert Emil �Uncle Bubba� Otto, 80, of Bay City will be held 9 a.m. Thursday at the Taylor Brothers Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow 1 p.m. Thursday at Magnolia Cemetery in Houston. Mr. Otto was born Oct. 17, 1910, to Ferdinand August Otto and Dorothy Louise Richers Otto in Houston and died June 24, 1991, at the Coffer Residence on Farm Road 3156. A resident of Bay City since 1940, he was a life-time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2438 in Bay City. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II in the 375th fighter squadron in the European theater. He is survived by a sister, Beatrice Regina Otto Kring of Houston; four nieces, Judy Kring Beirwirth, Patty Kring Hall, Peggy Kring White and Betty Kring Coffer; three nephews, William Bierwirth, Terry Hall and Bruce Coffer, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
