Azodi, Ardeshir (b. 30 AUG 1946, d. 02 APR 2008)
Note: ARDESHIR AZODI, 61, a resident of The Woodlands for the past twelve years, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008 at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital. He was born in Tehran, Iran on August 30th, 1946. He was a Process Design Engineer for Chevron. He is preceded in death by his father, Jafar Azodi. Survivors include his wife, Donna; mother, Monir Yaghoub Azari; brother, Hormoz Azodi; and two daughters, Mitra Woody with husband Josh, and Mina Azodi. A private family visitation will be held prior to the service. Funeral service will be held at half past two o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 in the chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, TX 77384. Susan Baltes Groos of Garden Ridge passed away on Friday, December 30, 2005, at the age of 57. She is preceded in death by her father, Louis Michael Baltes. She is survived by her husband, John Groos; her mother, Louise Baltes of San Antonio; her sister, Mary Dunker and Mary's husband, Ken and stepson, Chris, of Salem, Virginia; and her stepdaughter, Mindi Payne and husband, Del and grandchildren, Asher, Zoe and Shelby Payne of Denver, Colorado. Susan obtained her Bachelors of Education degree from McMurry University and held a Masters of Education from Incarnate Word University with a teaching field in Spanish. Susan retired after teaching Spanish at Alamo Heights High School for 29 1/2 years. She was Secretary of the Texas Foreign Language Association in 1994, served on the Spanish Committee of the Texas State Textbook Review Committee, was Book Reviewer for the journal, Hispania, and was past President of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, San Antonio de Bejar. Mrs. Betty Cornelson, age 55, wife of Larry Cornelson of Sagerton, died on Tuesday, Aug. 10 about noon at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Services were held on Thursday, Aug. 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Sagerton, under the direction of Holden-McCauley Funeral Home in Haskell. Officiating were Rev. Hestand, pastor; and Rev. Tommy Sparks of Faith Lutheran Church. Burial was at Willow Cemetery in Haskell. Pallbearers were Fred Kupatt, Leland Nauret, Leon Stegemoeller, Roland Stegemoeller, Delbert LeFevre and Marvin Stegemoeller. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Cornelson, E. J. Chromcak, Edward J. Neinast, Glenn Quade, Alvin Ulmer, Arthur Knipling, Harvey Stegemoeller, Reece Clark, Dr. L. G. Hardwick, Dr. J. S. Walke, Dr. Pedro Paez, Fred Jones and Don Neal. Among the relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Gus Balzer of Schulenburg, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Chromcak of Houston, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cornelson of Houston, Mrs. Leroy McBride of Schulenburg and Erwin Stavinoha of Schulenburg. She was born on June 13, 1927 in Sagerton where she was reared and graduated from high school. She married Larry Cornelson of Schulenburg on Dec. 22, 1949 in Sagerton. Due to his career in the Air Force, they lived in a number of areas including Lewisville where she was assistant vice president of City National Bank. They returned to Sagerton in November of 1980. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kathryn Cornelson of Lewisville; a son, Douglas Cornelson of Lewisville; and her mother, Mrs. Bette Balzer of Sagerton.
